Prime Minister Opens Speech with Poem Written During April War

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, delivered a speech at the Renaissance Square in Stepanakert, discussing various issues. The Prime Minister recited one of his poems, which he wrote in 2016 in Martakert while on duty.

His poem reads:

Our army in the plain
The horizon ripples from the slopes of Tigran's city,
Centuries later we stand again, we stand before the distant,
Our mountains, our fate, our tears, we have pierced, we have conquered them,
The horizon is here before us, behind us our fields are green,
Our gaze is now free, no wall confines our thoughts,
The distant is near, familiar, we are soldiers, we are victorious and masters.

In this land, the pulse of my soul beats, my blood flows with this soil,
I have torn the ancient pledge of the victim, victorious blood flows,
Our gaze is now free, no wall confines our thoughts,
The distant is near, familiar, we are soldiers, we are victorious and masters.
