Car Rolls Into Gorge Near Fiolotovo Village: Driver and 12-Year-Old Son Transferred to Erebuni Medical Center
On August 3, at 00:48, the 911 service received a call from a citizen reporting a car accident in the mountains near Fiolotovo village in Lori province. The vehicle, driven by a father, had overturned, and both he and his 10-year-old son were in need of assistance as their condition deteriorated. A rescue team was dispatched from the Ministry of Emergency Situations fire and rescue squad.
It was determined that the vehicle, a NISSAN PATROL, with the driver A.J. (born in 1980), had veered off the roadway and rolled about 500 meters into the gorge, approximately 15 kilometers south of Fiolotovo village.
The rescuers disconnected the car's battery and shut off the gas tank valve. They used a stretcher to bring the passenger out of the gorge. Emergency medical staff provided appropriate medical assistance to both the driver and the passenger M.J. (born in 2007) on site, and the injured were subsequently transferred to Erebuni Medical Center.
