Is Medical Care for Children Under 7 Years Old Ultimately Free or Not? Arman Abovyan
MP Arman Abovyan from the "Prosperous Armenia" faction has posted on his Facebook page: "Dear citizens, as I promised, I have just sent an inquiry to the Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, hoping that we will receive an answer to the pressing question that concerns all of us: whether medical care for children under 7 years old is ultimately free in Armenia or not.
The public is confident that according to the minister's statement, the possibility of their child receiving medical care is secured, but, alas, it seems that there are no shortage of obstacles in medical institutions for socially disadvantaged citizens. Yes, there is a ministerial order that establishes the criteria for medical assistance, but it remains on paper. At the same time, there is a ministerial statement which is well known to the majority.
Ultimately, the public must be accurately informed about its social security, especially when it comes to the health of children. In this regard, we have a clearly formed (according to yesterday's Facebook statement, erroneous) opinion that medical care for children under 7 years old in Armenia is free. I sincerely hope that similar statements will not only sound pleasant to the ears but will also have the intention of being put into practice."
