Foot Severed and Thrown: Details of a Tragic Traffic Accident

Today, on July 30, a fatal traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 1:00 AM, 23-year-old Sergey Grigoryan, a resident of the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan, struck 24-year-old Norayr Poghosyan, also a resident of the same district, with his BMW vehicle, license plate 46 XX 046, near address 16/3 on Gayi Avenue.

According to shamshyan.com, the victim was transported to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center with severe injuries, where he succumbed to his injuries without regaining consciousness.

The situation at the scene was so tense that officers from the second battalion of the Police Patrol Service of Yerevan and detectives from the Nor Nork division, under the command of operational officer Ashot Atayan, were performing enhanced duties. The police correctly assessed the situation and took the driver, S. Grigoryan, who voluntarily presented himself to the police, to the Nor Nork police station, as several individuals were attempting to take retribution against him.

A photojournalist also reports that the pedestrian was crossing the street at an unauthorized location, and the vehicle struck with such force that the foot was severed and thrown aside, while the car was completely covered in blood. The police and investigators discovered remnants of the pedestrian's body in different parts of the street.
