Vardavar Celebration in Gyumri with Celebrity Participation
The Vardavar celebrations have commenced at Vardanants Square in Gyumri with the participation of Armenian celebrities. In recent days, a new challenge has been actively spreading on social media. Armenian celebrities have been inviting everyone to celebrate Vardavar in Gyumri through a video.
One of the mandatory conditions for participating in the challenge is to film your own wet video. “Differentiate between wet and dry. The correct one is wet. Well, we believe that this year you simply have to come to Gyumri and celebrate Vardavar right here. We are waiting for your videos and, of course, your presence in Gyumri. Film your wet video and tag the people you would like to see and splash in Gyumri. Let’s ensure a boost in the economy of Gyumri’s service sector during Vardavar,” wrote Armenian celebrities alongside the video.
The author of the initiative “Differentiate between Wet and Dry,” Ruben Mkhitaryan, the chief producer of Armenia TV, shared his thoughts with Tert.am about the idea of holding Vardavar in Gyumri and the expected events. Starting from 9:00 in the morning, all statues in the city were washed, and the water festival commenced at noon, accompanied by good music. Eight water trucks are set to operate, along with emergency rescue vehicles to ensure the water splashes.
Gyumri’s square is closed for vehicles. “At 15:00, we will direct people to continue the water fun in their neighborhoods, while we will guide our guests to the museums in the small center of Gyumri, which will be open that day. In the evening, we will encourage everyone to take advantage of the services offered in Gyumri. All restaurants will be eagerly waiting for them, featuring dishes made from Gyumri recipes on their menus,” Ruben Mkhitaryan stated.
