Fatal Hit-and-Run in Aragatsotn Province

On July 28, a fatal hit-and-run occurred in Aragatsotn Province. At approximately 02:50, 47-year-old Armen B. from Yerevan, driving an Opel vehicle with the license plate 35 GX 848, struck a pedestrian, 42-year-old Varditert H. from the village of Aragatsavan, on the 77 km stretch of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene but instead called the police and ambulance.

Doctors from Talin hospital, who arrived at the scene, confirmed the death of the individual who was hit.
