Extraordinary Incident: One Driver Attempted to Settle Scores with Another Using a Knife After a Car Accident

Today, on July 26, an extraordinary and unusual incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 09:05, vehicles with the following license plates collided: a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with license plate 070 VG 01, a Toyota with license plate B424 XM 777RUS, and a BMW with license plate 35 QM 603.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver of the BMW was taken to the hospital for medical assistance following the accident. While officers from the Road Police were securing the accident scene, citizens informed them that one of the drivers had exited his vehicle and attacked another driver with a large kitchen knife.

The Road Police are currently investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured party. Several citizens present at the scene remarked, “If the Road Police had not acted promptly and wisely neutralized the knife-wielding driver, the situation could have escalated further.”
