Driver Falls Asleep at Wheel: Details of Accident That Took 5 Lives
In Artsakh, the preliminary cause of a tragic accident that claimed the lives of five individuals was the driver falling asleep at the wheel. This information was reported by the Artsakh police.
On July 26, around 08:30, H.A., a 1992-born resident of Tegh village in the Syunik province of Armenia, was driving his own "GAZ 31" vehicle when it veered off the Goris-Stepanakert highway at the 77th kilometer, rolling down the slope. As a result, the driver, along with passengers A.A. (born in 1958), S.B. (born in 1961), R.A. (born in 1982), and N.G. (born in 1994), all residents of the same village, died at the scene.
Initial data suggests that the cause of the road traffic accident was the driver falling asleep. An investigative operative group has arrived at the scene. Materials are being prepared for initiating a criminal case.
