Car Rolls 8 Meters Down the Slope Near Noratus, One Injured in Critical Condition
On July 26, at 02:09, information was reported to the '911' service of Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations about a car that had left the roadway and rolled down a slope near the Noratus community in the Gegharkunik region. There were injuries, and rescue assistance was required.
A firefighting-rescue unit was dispatched to the scene from the Ministry's Rescue Service. It was determined that a 'VAZ-21014' vehicle (driver: H.D., born in 1989) had gone off the road at the 4th kilometer of the Gavar-Martuni highway and fell into a nearby ravine (approximately 8 meters).
Rescuers approached the driver and passenger A.I. (born in 1973) and brought them to an ambulance. The injured were hospitalized at Gavar Medical Center, where the doctors assessed the driver’s condition as satisfactory, while the passenger’s condition was deemed critical.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's battery and closed the gas cylinder valve.
