Video: 2.5 Million Dram Embezzled at Gyumri Sports School

Recently, the National Security Service received operational information regarding abuses committed by an official at the General Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the Police. Working in collaboration with the Shirak Regional Police and the Mush Division, the joint operational-investigative measures revealed that the director of the Gyumri Children’s Sports School, using his official position, did not terminate the employment of a wrestling coach who was absent from the republic for a total of 29 months between 2014 and 2018. Instead, he embezzled approximately 2.5 million dram from the coach's salary.

A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the RA Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
