Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris May Collapse Due to Abnormal Heat
The chief architect of France’s historical monuments, Philippe Villeneuve, has announced that the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris may be at risk of collapse. This information was reported by Euronews.
It is noted that the potential collapse could be attributed to abnormal heat waves. Villeneuve stated that the cathedral's walls remain very damp since the firefighting work conducted in April, but the water could evaporate quickly due to a sharp rise in temperature recorded across the region. This poses a danger to the structure's integrity.
Workers engaged in clearing debris after the fire are installing special reinforcements intended to prevent any potential collapse.
