Grenade Shell and 223 Homemade Explosives Found on Kochinyan Street
On July 24 at 21:43, information was received that an explosion occurred at 18:30 on Kochinyan Street, address 13/5 in Yerevan, resulting in a citizen being hospitalized with shrapnel injuries.
On July 25 at around 09:32, it was reported that demining specialists and canine units were required for an inspection at the mentioned address.
Teams of demining specialists and canine units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as police officers, were dispatched to the site. It was determined that inspection work needed to be conducted in a non-operational two-story building (1500 sq. m) on Kochinyan Street, number 13/5.
The teams discovered a grenade shell (62 mm), 223 homemade explosives, and 4 containers (colored and solid materials) within the building. The found military ammunition has been handed over to the Ministry of Defense's demining specialists.
