Hummer Collides with Volvo Garbage Truck in Yerevan; One Injured
Today, July 23, an accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 5:20 AM, 43-year-old Davit Isasayan, driving a Hummer with license plate 77 PO 677, collided with a stationary Volvo garbage truck with license plate 34 G 8818, which had its safety lights on, on Fuchiki Street.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the Hummer driver was taken to the Armenia Medical Center with bodily injuries. Materials are being prepared regarding this incident. The photojournalist reported that the drivers were subjected to sobriety testing.
It was revealed that the Volvo driver was sober, while the Hummer driver initially refused to undergo sobriety testing but later consented, and it was determined that he was driving under the influence, at the highest level of intoxication.
The photojournalist also noted that the Volvo is registered under the Sanitek company's balance sheet and was parked in a permissible area while conducting waste collection.
