Major Fire in the Intermediary Area Between Kosh and Avan Villages Involving 20 Locals

On July 21, at 12:52 PM, the emergency services of Armenia received a call via the "911" service reporting that a grassy area was burning in the second cemetery of Kosh village in the Aragatsotn region.

Three fire-fighting teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the fire had ignited in the intermediary area between the villages of Kosh and Avan.

The fire was contained by 6:55 PM and extinguished by 10:15 PM. Approximately 30 hectares of grassland were burned in the incident. A total of 15 firefighters and 20 local residents participated in the firefighting efforts.
