18-Year-Old Electrocuted and Dies on Site in Sardarapat Village

A tragic incident occurred on July 21 in the Armavir region. At around 20:10, the Armavir Medical Center received a call to the Police Department of Armavir, reporting that the medical staff had been dispatched to Sardarapat village, where they transferred the body of a young man to the hospital.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the operational team of the Armavir regional police department arrived at the scene, led by department head, Police Colonel Aram Hovhannisyan. The operational team of the Armavir police department also responded, under the leadership of Deputy Police Chief Armen Hovhannisyan.

Law enforcement officials determined that on the same day, at around 19:50, an 18-year-old resident of the village, identified as E.G., accidentally stepped on an exposed live wire while repairing a car in the garage belonging to 47-year-old Gurgen G. As a result of electrocution, he was transported to the Armavir Medical Center in a deceased state. Investigations are underway at the investigative department of the Armavir Police Department regarding the incident. According to G. Shamshyan, E. G. was a 12th-grade student at the local school.
