Police Clarifies on Timber Transporting Truck

The Police of Armenia has issued a clarification regarding a timber transporting truck. A user posted a photo of a truck loaded with timber online, attaching a supposed route and ending the post with the suspicion-accusation, “Is the show continuing?”

We find it necessary to inform that the driver of the truck in the photo voluntarily stopped at all police checkpoints, presented the necessary documents and permits, and continued on their way legally.

While appreciating the vigilance of citizens and their intent to participate in the fight against illegal logging, we encourage anyone with suspicious cases to contact the police directly, which will indeed support the police in genuinely monitoring the situation.

Note: Despite all presented documents being legal and issued by an organization conducting lawful activities, they will undergo additional verification as per the instructions of the police chief.
