‘No Compromise Will Be Made’: Pashinyan Responds to Supporters of Loggers

The government has no intention of making any illegal compromises. This was once again emphasized by Prime Minister Pashinyan during the Shirak conference when addressing the events that took place in Ijevan.

Pashinyan expressed surprise at how sometimes people question why there should be such a vigorous fight against loggers. He countered the already circulated claims that loggers are simply trying to make a living.

“The 1000 drams taken by a former road policeman was also his means of survival. Every bribe taken by a corrupt individual is their means of survival. Excuse me, the means of survival for a thief is theft. The means of survival for a robber is robbery,” said Pashinyan.

Therefore, according to the Prime Minister, there will be no compromise, as there is also sufficient space created for people to ensure their livelihoods through creative work.
