925 Children Born in Artsakh This Year

During the first half of this year, 925 children were born in healthcare facilities of Artsakh, according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh. Among them, 467 are boys and 458 are girls.

In the city of Stepanakert, 781 children were born, with the highest number recorded in Martakert, where 80 children were born, followed by Martuni with 47, Hadrut with 16, and Shushi with 1.

Between January and June, there were 10 births of twins recorded in Artsakh, 9 of which were due to natural conception, while 1 was a result of artificial insemination. It is noteworthy that 8 children were born through artificial fertilization.

Additionally, 48 children from Artsakh were born in healthcare facilities in the Republic of Armenia. Consequently, the total birth rate in Artsakh for the first half of the year reached 973 children, with 493 being boys and 480 being girls.
