Video: Taxi Driver in Yerevan Took Mobile Phone and Money from Foreign Passengers
On July 16, around 21:40, two foreign youths approached officers of the Patrol Service in the Republic Square of Yerevan. They reported that an unknown taxi driver had taken a mobile phone and money from them.
The officers escorted the foreigners to the Central Police Division. It turned out that the taxi driver had demanded an excessively high fare from the passengers. They refused to pay, and in response, the driver took the female passenger's mobile phone and 10,000 drams.
Materials have been prepared at the Central Police Division. Information was received that the BMW driver is a 25-year-old resident of Vagharshapat. On the same day, at around 23:20, he was located at the Tamanyan-Isahakyan intersection and was taken to the division.
All damages caused to the victim have been compensated. An investigation is underway.
