The Growth of Algae in Lake Sevan Has Finished: Ministry of Environment
The Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia has announced on its Facebook page that the growth of algae in Lake Sevan has come to an end.
Currently, the lake's transparency has sharply increased, rising from an average of 2 meters observed on June 30 to 6.5 meters, with some areas reaching up to 9 meters. This figure is the highest recorded since 2018-2019.
