Police Patrol and Road Patrol Services May Be Abolished: 'My Step'
During a meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, a proposal was made to abolish the police patrol and road patrol services with the aim of forming a new unified service in the future. This was stated to reporters by Sisak Gabrielyan, a member of the ruling 'My Step' alliance, while commenting on possible long-term reforms in the transportation sector.
'This reform will allow us to increase the number of patrol vehicles in the city to some extent, which will lead to an increase in driver vigilance,' Gabrielyan assured.
He also noted that the number of secret cameras recording violations will not significantly increase, as the Prime Minister himself has opposed that initiative and suggested finding alternative solutions.
