Meeting Held on the Instruction of Arthur Vanetsyan

On the instruction of the Director of the National Security Service of Armenia, a working consultation took place today, July 16, chaired by Deputy Director of NSS, Colonel E. Martirosyan. The NSS Director's advisor, legal scholar, and professor Vahe Yengibaryan delivered a speech. The meeting was attended by the head of the NSS Investigative Department and the leadership of the Yerevan city administration.

The meeting focused on the issues related to the implementation of operational-investigative measures, particularly the motions submitted to the court, the limits of disclosure of their grounds, and so on. The challenges raised during the consultation were discussed, considering the recent developments in the precedent practice of the European Court of Human Rights and the Supreme Court of Armenia.

In light of the need to establish unified practice, typological samples of already developed working documents were presented, and certain provisions of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Operational-Investigative Activities were discussed, with a decision made to develop legislative amendment proposals for their refinement and improvement.

The working consultation also addressed issues concerning the discussion of citizens' applications and complaints, as well as the further proceedings of reports on crimes.
