Revasyan to Marukyan: 'I would ask that our classic MP call us before going live'

After the ban on charter flights from Russia to Georgia and from Georgia to Russia, the civil aviation sector attempted to consider Armenia as a transit flight zone, said Tatyevik Revasyan, the head of the Armenian Civil Aviation Committee, during a meeting with reporters.

“We summoned all airlines to convince them to consider Armenia as a transit flight zone, so that direct flights can increase,” she stated.

According to Revasyan, the number of flights in different directions from Armenia to Georgia and from Armenia to Russia has significantly increased recently.

“Therefore, I would ask our 'classic' MP to call us before going live, because at the very moment he went live, we were resolving an issue and could have provided information about what steps we would take and what results this would bring,” Revasyan added, addressing Edmond Marukyan, the leader of the LHK faction.

Recall that Marukyan commented on the situation in Georgia during a Facebook live broadcast and suggested that the government increase the number of flights from Gyumri to Russia and vice versa.

“I urge the head of the Civil Aviation Administration, a very beautiful girl, and our brilliantly functioning government, to take quick measures during these days and resolve this issue. We simply must not miss this opportunity,” he stated.
