Member of the National Assembly from the My Step faction and President of the Union of Volunteer Soldiers Sasun Mikayelyan came to join the protesters on the Yerevan-Sevan road. It should be noted that entrepreneurs operating on the beaches adjacent to Lake Sevan are conducting a protest. They demand that government representatives declare that swimming in Sevan is not dangerous.

Journalists asked Mikayelyan if government officials would announce on Wednesday that Sevan is clean. Mikayelyan responded, “Either they should declare it, or I will also join the protest with the people. People are earning a piece of bread because of this. Every year something like this is said. If it is toxic, why don't they close it?”

According to the protesters, following a statement from the Ministry of Health, people are not coming to Sevan, and their business is suffering. The participants in the protest called on the Ministers of Environment and Health, to which Mikayelyan responded, “The ministers came, what else should they say?”

Present at the protest were also Gegharkunik Province Governor Gnel Sanosyan and Sevan Mayor Sargis Muradyan. Mikayelyan promised that a solution would be found to the issue, and the protesters decided to reopen the road until Wednesday. Mikayelyan mentioned that he would also go to swim in Sevan.
