Margarita Simonyan Appeals to Instagram Followers

Russian RT chief editor Margarita Simonyan has expressed her gratitude to her Instagram followers. "Just a few months ago, I started managing my Instagram page, and now there are already 100,000 of you! I saw how my colleagues manage their pages with complex photos, featuring moments from different countries and situations, and I realized that I couldn't do that," she stated.

She mentioned that later an idea came to her mind to present her daily life on Instagram—her son Tigran, the kitchen, her children. She is pleased that her followers appreciate her Instagram page.

"Thank you to everyone who allows me to run my page without politics, arguments, or glamour. Thank you for allowing my mother to finally enter social media and not see the barrage of accusations directed at her daughter," Simonyan wrote.
