Head of Yerevan Municipality's Environmental Protection Department Dismissed

According to information from 'Haykakan Jamanak', the head of the Yerevan Municipality's Environmental Protection Department, Khachik Hakobyan, has been dismissed from his position. This information was confirmed by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan's press secretary, Hakob Karapetyan, in our conversation. He noted that Hakobyan was dismissed at his own request.

It is worth mentioning that recently, Mayor Hayk Marutyan has repeatedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the greenscaping efforts in the city.

By the way, Khachik Hakobyan was a former deputy to the Ministry of Environmental Protection under Aram Harutyunyan (also known as Bulki Aram). Hakobyan has previously also been a member of the Republican Party of Armenia council.
