Pashinyan Attends Concert of the 'Yerevan' Youth Symphony Orchestra with His Wife
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his wife Anna Hakobyan were present today, July 12, at the concert of the 'Yerevan' Youth Symphony Orchestra held in the garden of the National Assembly. The concert was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Komitas and the 80th anniversary of Tigran Mansuryan. This information was provided by the press office of the Armenian government.
The orchestra, which consists of approximately 250 students from 25 music and art schools operating under the supervision of the Yerevan Municipality, was established at the initiative of the city hall.
During the concert, the 'Yerevan' Youth Symphony Orchestra and choir performed for the first time the work 'Yerevan' by the renowned composer Tigran Mansuryan. The concert program, consisting exclusively of works by Armenian composers, showcased compositions by Komitas, E. Mirzoyan, Gh. Saryan, E. Hovhannisyan, T. Mansuryan, and N. Zarifian. The young musicians of the orchestra are also set to perform in regions and Artsakh in the near future.
The artistic director and conductor of the orchestra is Harutyun Arzumanyan, while the choir is led by Lilit Edigaryan.
