We Will Not Fight Until Arayik Harutyunyan Stops Using Tanks to Defend Our Land, Say Supporters of Samuel Babayan
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports, "We met with supporters of Samuel Babayan a few days ago in Shushi, next to the statue of Vazgen. His representative was conducting a briefing with those gathered. In response to our question about what they would do if the parliament and the Supreme Court do not validate Babayan's signatures, they said: 'We will demand our voice; they say it is 10 percent, but we will vote for more than that. They are obliged to take us into account and respond to us, and we will stand firm until the end.' Until the end of what? 'Until our candidate wins, we will not fight until Arayik Harutyunyan stops using tanks to defend our land.'
By the way, both the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan were in Artsakh over the weekend. Members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation were also there, led by Armen Rustamyan, who was negotiating with the representative of the most marginal candidate, Arayik Harutyunyan.'
