Vanetsyan's Mother Holds 3 Properties, 30 Million Drams and 15 Thousand Dollars, While His Father Holds 960 Million Drams

The assistant to the President of Armenia, Margarita Azaryan, who is also the mother of Arthur Vanetsyan, the Director of the NSS of Armenia, submitted her annual declaration for 2018 to the High Commission for Ethics of High-Ranking Officials on May 30, 2019.

At the beginning of the tax year, Azaryan had received loans amounting to 5,874,368 drams. During the tax year, she issued loans totaling 4,113,576 drams, leading to a total loan amount of 9,987,944 drams by the end of the tax year.

At the beginning of 2018, Azaryan possessed 30 million drams and 15 thousand dollars, which by the end of the year increased to 40 million drams and 15 thousand dollars. In 2018, her total income amounted to 16,074,198 drams, with 7,389,941 drams coming from her salary, 4,113,576 drams from loans issued, 1,157,357 drams from civil contracts, 2,916,523 drams from other salaries, and 496,801 drams with an unspecified source, categorized as 'other income'.

By 2017, before taking the position of head of the personnel department of the President’s staff, Azaryan owned 3 properties: 1 apartment, 1 house, and 1 plot of land.

Her husband, Gagik Vanetsyan, submitted his annual declaration for 2017 to the ethics commission in March 2018. In 2017, Vanetsyan acquired 2 houses for 48 million drams and 198 million 440 thousand drams. That same year, he also purchased a vehicle, a 'MERCEDES-BENZ C 200', for 22 million drams.
