Shocking New Developments in the Case of Colonel Accused of Murder in the March 1 Incident

The newspaper "Jhochovurd" reports that new and, we can say, shocking circumstances have emerged in the case of Colonel Gegham Petrosyan, who is accused of murder in the March 1 case, and who previously served as the head of the Internal Troops of the Republic of Armenia Police.

In particular, an expert conclusion has revealed that experimental shots were fired from a "Makarov" type pistol. As a result, the ejected bullet and cartridge have been compared to prior expert conclusions provided in 2008, with an additional examination conducted in 2018.

This was noted by Petrosyan's lawyer Vagarshak Gevorgyan in an interview with the newspaper. "As a result, the traces of the bullets have been compared, and no matches were found. In other words, the bullets obtained from the shots fired from the presented pistol have no matching traces with the bullet found in the body of Zakhar Hovhannisyan," he stated.

This means that it is still unclear whether the colonel actually killed Hovhannisyan.
