Russian Side Demands Extradition of Georgian Host Who Insulted Putin
The host of the Georgian television program "P.S." on the channel "Rustavi 2", Georgy Gabuniya, who insulted Russian President Vladimir Putin at the beginning of yesterday's broadcast, should be extradited to Russia and brought to trial. This statement was made by Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
"He must be extradited to our country so that our court can decide how he will be held accountable under our country's legislation, and later determine where he will serve his sentence: on the territory of Russia or Georgia?" Volodin stated.
It has already been reported that Gabuniya's work responsibilities have been suspended for two months.
