ArmLur.am has learned that after the customs clearance of a vehicle, drivers will use "temporary" type number plates provided by customs authorities until the appropriate number plates are issued by the Road Police of Armenia.

It is noted that "temporary" type number plates are only issued by the Road Police, resulting in drivers operating vehicles without registered number plates after the completion of customs procedures and before receiving the designated plates. This, by the way, contradicts provisions established by the law on ensuring road traffic safety in Armenia.

In other words, "temporary" number plates will also be allocated to businesses engaged in commercial activities and by customs authorities conducting vehicle customs clearances.

According to the State Revenue Committee, this will resolve the issues raised by drivers of vehicles being released from customs without number plates. For more details, watch the video from ArmLur.am.
