Armenian Authorities Cannot Have Their Candidate in Artsakh Presidential Elections: Ararat Mirzoyan
The Armenian authorities cannot have their candidate in the Artsakh presidential elections. This statement was made today by the President of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly while responding to a question about whether Armenia has a candidate for the presidential elections in Artsakh scheduled for 2020.
Mirzoyan stated that even supporting any candidate from Armenia would be seen as interference in the affairs of another country.
Commenting on the rumors regarding the absence of ruling faction member Sasun Mikayelyan from sessions and the potential resignation of his mandate, the NA President noted, "It is evident that Mikayelyan is not attending the sessions, but I do not know why. However, we cannot assume every time he misses a session that he intends to resign his mandate."
