Clarification on Gas Price Change

The Information Verification Center has issued a clarification.  
"The information circulating in the media that the gas price will increase by 10 percent is not accurate. The Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, Garegin Baghramyan, stated that negotiations are currently ongoing with the Russian side regarding the gas tariff supplied to Armenia, and the results will be officially communicated once the negotiations are completed. 
With regard to the increase in the price of gas supplied from Russia to Armenia at the border, the difference in cost is covered by Gazprom Armenia. The government is not accumulating any debts on this matter."
