VIDEO: Police Release Footage in Case of 25-Year-Old Woman's Murder

On June 25, operational information was received by the Mashtots division of the police, indicating that a murder had occurred in one of the houses at the end of 17th Street in Norq-Marash.

The police operational group discovered the body of 25-year-old Yerevan resident Elen Simonyan, wrapped in a sheet and polyethylene. The body had over ten stab wounds, and the face was completely mutilated.

Thanks to immediate and expansive operational and investigative measures, the identity of the suspect was determined. On the morning of June 26, officers from the marash police department located the suspect on 17th Street in Norq and detained him on suspicion of committing the murder.

All circumstances of the incident are being clarified, and an investigation is underway.
