MPs from 'My Step' Unable to Identify Current Constitutional Court Judge
Who is the President of the Constitutional Court for you? This question was posed several times by journalists to members of the ruling faction who had come to summarize the current work of the National Assembly.
MP Anna Karapetyan initially stated that she had already answered these questions, wondering if those answers were insufficient. She then added that the interpretation of the members-judges of the Constitutional Court still needs to be clarified, but the President of the Constitutional Court must be a judge.
To the specific questions from journalists regarding who they actually consider to be the judge, the faction's MPs did not provide an answer. Suren Grigoryan among them clarified that both Vahe Grigoryan, whom they elected as a Constitutional Court judge, and Hrayr Tovmasyan, who has carried out the duties of the Court's president until now, have not commented on the matter, therefore it is not appropriate for them to comment, as it could harm the process.
