Explosion at Military Depot in Kazakhstan Results in 3 Fatalities
The official representative of the Emergency Situations Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nurakhmetov, has reported that the number of fatalities from the explosions at the military depot in the city of Aris has reached 3. According to local media, 70 people have sought medical assistance, with 45 of them hospitalized.
As a result of these explosions, the entire city of Aris, which has a population of 44,000, has been evacuated due to the dangers posed by munitions that can be thrown several kilometers away during such large-scale detonations, and may not explode, posing a permanent threat to the surrounding area. A similar incident occurred two years ago in Azerbaijan.
