In Tbilisi, during clashes, Minasyan Minas, an ethnic Armenian, has been arrested for failing to comply with police's legal demands, reported Armenia's Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan.
“I have been in contact with my Georgian counterpart, Public Defender Nino Lomjaria, regarding the gatherings in Georgia and the police actions. Today, I learned from my colleague that among those arrested, there is one citizen of Armenia (personal details are not subject to publication at this stage). He will be held in administrative detention for 13 days for not complying with a police officer's legal demand. The court hearing regarding his detention is also being monitored by representatives of the Georgian public defender. We have received the personal details of the detainee's relative, with whom we will also be in touch,” Tatoyan stated on his Facebook page.
“I thank my colleague for cooperation and effective joint work. I wish our friends in Georgia a swift and peaceful resolution to the situation in the country,” he added.
