Video: Protesters Issue Ultimatum in Georgia
Opposition parties and protesters in Georgia have secured the resignation of the Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze, and Zakaria Kutsnashvili, who ensured the presence of a Russian MP in the country, has also stepped down. The same demand is now directed towards the Minister of Internal Affairs. Demonstrators have given Giorgi Gakharia three hours to resign.
Protesters continue to gather in front of the Parliament building, with a significant increase in their numbers today. The participants of the demonstration have presented an ultimatum to the authorities, stating, “We are giving Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia three hours to leave his position; otherwise, we will start a peaceful march from Western Georgia to gather here in large numbers and cleanse this power with our bare hands.”
