VIDEO: Nearly 40 People Hospitalized in Georgia
Injured individuals from a protest near the Georgian Parliament have been taken to various hospitals in Tbilisi, reports Aliq Media.
According to the staff at Ingorokva Hospital, where the Aliq Media filming crew is located, 40 protesters are receiving treatment. “They have mainly sustained injuries from rubber bullets, plastic bottles thrown at each other, and knife wounds that were inflicted by the protesters themselves,” says the sister of one of the injured to Aliq Media.
Rezi Kartsiladze's father is in the hospital. He has a wound in the chest area from a rubber bullet. “My father is here. They said he will be discharged in the morning, as the wound needs to be treated, although there is nothing dangerous,” says Rezi.
Additionally, several people were detained on Rustaveli Avenue, where the protest was taking place, and the police used force for the second time, after which the citizens left the area.
