Drinking Water Pipeline in Nor Kharberd Village of Ararat Region Has Been Damaged for a Week

Residents of 6th Street in Nor Kharberd village of Ararat region have been reporting for a week that drinking water is flowing uncontrollably in front of house number 31 due to a damaged pipeline.

In a conversation with photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, residents stated: “We are confident that the officials of 'Veolia Jur' are unaware of this disgraceful situation, because if they were informed, they would have sent responsible individuals to fix the issues. A week ago, we notified the supervising officer of the area that drinking water is flowing uncontrollably. They came, did a quick fix, considered it done, and left, but just a day after their departure, the water started flowing again. Unless the pipeline is replaced, no issue will be resolved. Our hope is with the management of 'Veolia Jur', as the local authorities are taking no measures.”

The photojournalist also reported that yesterday, a vehicle found itself in the damaged pit, and it was only with the help of a tractor that residents were able to pull it out.
