Thief Steals Approximately 2.8 Million Drams from Supermarket and Falls into Aghstev River

On June 16, at 10:30 AM, the police department in Ijevan received a report from an employee of a supermarket stating that between June 15 at 11:59 PM and June 16 at 8:30 AM, an unknown individual entered the supermarket located on Yerevanyan Street through an open window and stole approximately 2.8 million drams.

Thanks to the actions of the police officers, it was determined that the theft was committed by a 34-year-old resident of Ijevan around 5:00 AM on the same day, who fell into the Aghstev River while escaping from the supermarket’s roof.

At around 5:30 AM, the rescuers from “Ijevan” rescue service retrieved him from the river and transported him to Ijevan medical center.

Measures are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to recover the stolen goods.
