Tokayev Assumes the Presidency

Today, a solemn ceremony took place in the Independence Palace of Nur-Sultan for Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who won the early presidential elections held on Sunday, as reported by the nur.kz agency.

 “I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan, adhere strictly to the Constitution and laws of Kazakhstan, guarantee the rights and freedoms of citizens, and diligently fulfill the high duties of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” he stated during the inauguration ceremony.
