Increase in Azerbaijani Drone and Military Aviation Flights Observed on the Front Line
Today, several Azerbaijani news outlets, relying on a statement from their Ministry of Defense's press service, reported that Armenian units allegedly violated the ceasefire regime in various directions along the contact line, using various firearms and even deploying 60 mm mortars (8 shells), as reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Defense's press service.
“The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh not only denies this disseminated misinformation but also informs that on June 11 and throughout the night of June 12, the Azerbaijani side has deployed both long-range and sniper weapons as well as HAN-17 type grenade launchers (5 grenades) in several sections of the conflict forces' contact line. If necessary, we can substantiate this with relevant video evidence.
Additionally, an increase in the flights of Azerbaijani unmanned aerial vehicles and military aviation training flights has been observed along the entire length of the front line, which frequently violate the established flight zone.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh states that the flights of the Azerbaijani air force are under strict control of the Artsakh Defense Army's air defense measures, and the stationed units fully control the operational-tactical situation prevailing along the front line. The Artsakh Ministry of Defense calls on the Azerbaijani side to refrain from provocations that artificially escalate the situation and to unconditionally adhere to the ceasefire agreements reached with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. Otherwise, all responsibility for the escalation of the situation and its subsequent consequences will fall on official Baku,” the statement said.
