It Was a Deserved Victory: Mkhitaryan

According to the captain of the Armenian national football team, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the team celebrated a deserved victory against Liechtenstein. “In the first half, the plan worked, but in the second half, we didn’t play as we should have. It was important that we won. This was a deserved victory. I regret that I couldn't score during a few attempts, but what matters here is the team’s victory,” the captain said during a briefing with journalists, as reported by Armenpress.

According to Mkhitaryan, the team will do everything possible to recover quickly and prepare for the next match.

In the latest round of the UEFA European Championship qualifying, the Armenian team triumphed over Liechtenstein thanks to goals from Gevorg Ghazaryan, Aleksandr Karapetyan, and Tigran Barseghyan. The next match will see Armen Gyulbudaghyants' team face Greece in Athens on June 11.
