Fatal Pedestrian Accident on David Bek Avenue: Pedestrian Dies at the Scene

Today, on June 6th, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. According to Armtimes.com, around 21:20, a 26-year-old resident of Yerevan, Vardan Tigranyan, hit a pedestrian while driving his Toyota Camry with license plate 19 LS 938 on David Bek Avenue, on the road leading to the Public Television Company.

The pedestrian, 41-year-old Laert Sarkisov, was a resident of the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan.

As reported by photographer Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the driver did not flee and promptly alerted Yerevan’s emergency services at 1-03. The medical team that arrived at the scene confirmed the pedestrian's death. The driver underwent sobriety testing on-site, which revealed that he was sober while driving.
