Lawyer Hits Pedestrian Near 'Arinj Mall' with Lexus and Flees the Scene

On June 5, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Kotayk Province. Around 11:00 PM, the driver of a car of unknown make and license plate struck Vahe M., a 41-year-old resident of the village of Getar, near the 'Arinj Mall' shopping center in Arinj village.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver fled the scene after leaving the victim helpless, while the injured pedestrian was transported to the 'Abovyan' Medical Center with bodily injuries.

Law enforcement officials have determined that the hit-and-run was committed by 67-year-old Samvel Hovhannisyan, a resident of the village of Balagovit, driving his Lexus with license plate 01 FF 555. Police discovered the vehicle in the garage of his home, and it has been transferred to a special area under the jurisdiction of the traffic police.

According to sources, driver Samvel Hovhannisyan is a lawyer affiliated with the Chamber of Advocates.
