Extraordinary Incident in Vanadzor: Inmate Cuts His Neck

According to Shamshyan.com, an extraordinary incident occurred today, June 6, at the Vanadzor penitentiary facility.

At approximately 09:00, Ara Terehoyan, an inmate at the Vanadzor Prison, attempted suicide by injuring his neck while in the cell's restroom.

Prior to his suicide attempt, A. Terehoyan left a note requesting that no one be blamed for his actions. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, due to the vigilance of the penitentiary staff, first aid was administered on-site, after which he was transported to the Vanadzor Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Materials are being prepared on this incident at the Vanadzor penitentiary.
