Minister of Social Affairs Makes New Appointments

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Zaroui Batoyan, has made a post on her Facebook page announcing new appointments.

“Our team continues to be strengthened with professionals. From now on, my advisor will be Olga Azatyan.

She was born in 1981, studied at Yerevan State Linguistic University from 1998 to 2003, and received her Master's degree in Social Policy and Public Administration in 2006-2007 from London Metropolitan University (British Chevening Scholarship).

From 2009 to 2016, she worked at the British Embassy in Yerevan as a coordinator for democracy, human rights, and conflict grant programs.

Between 2016 and 2019, she led the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s programs and office in Armenia.

I have appointed Stepan Machiyan as the head of the Financial, Economic, and Accounting Department, who will also perform the duties of the secretary general (head of staff).

Stepan graduated from Anania Shiraz High School, then studied at the Faculty of Management of Yerevan State University of Economics, followed by a Master's and Doctorate in Economics at the State Agrarian University. Since 2008, he has worked in the banking system:

From 2014 to 2017, he served as the head of the Risk Analysis Department at VTB Bank Armenia, and from 2017 to 2019 as the Deputy Financial Director.

I am pleased to work with dedicated and professional individuals like Olga and Stepan, who not only enjoy my full trust but also possess high professional qualifications, are committed to the values of the revolution, and are ready to serve the Republic of Armenia. Good luck,” she wrote.
