What Major Stakeholders Should Focus On: Arthur Gevorgyan's Statement

The President of the Armenian Boxing Federation, Arthur Gevorgyan, made a post on his Facebook page: "You see how good it is.

The president of the Olympic Committee felt so powerless in the legal struggle with the Boxing Federation that he resorted to an unprecedented step and decided to personally invite our strongest boxer and offer a monthly amount of 1,000,000 AMD, while the other top athletes would receive 200,000 each. This is a commendable step on his part, and I personally urged him not to refuse and to accept the offer. This move would have been honorable had Mr. Major Stakeholder, being the president of the Olympic Committee, made similar efforts in the past when these guys were not champions or medalists in world or European competitions.

I commend this move for its honesty; this is what major stakeholders should focus on and nothing more.

I urge him to engage in charity and finance athletes but not interfere in the internal matters of the federation."
